There is a giant rectangular face with piercing grey eyes that stare deep into your soul. These cold eyes, even though they have no life as they appear on a poster, seem to fixate on you, following you wherever you go. The face also sports a bushy mustache, and even further below, the man in the poster points his accusatory finger at you. This the poster of the All Powerful Leader; the one who has outlawed video games.
What would you do if you lived in a place where video games were illegal?
I could see myself connecting with other gamers in the area and forming a speakeasy operation of sorts, but for video games.
Now that I think about it, the Greek government banned all electronic games in public places back in 2002. Apparently, it was a severely misguided attempt on their part to crack down on illegal gambling. Luckily, the ban was eventually suspended when the European Court of Justice caught wind of it and sent them a letter stating that the law infringed on the rights of the people.

Hmmm interesting. I didn’t know that about Greece, and thankfully, the law was suspended. I feel like that would be a law that begs for civil disobedience.

It would suck, but I guess I would just pursue other hobbies such as reading manga.

I would organize other people who supported repealing the law. There could be no justifiable reason–that I can think of–for such a law to exist.
