I can always think of five video games that I want to play. I run around frantically, like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to play them all.
I find myself dreaming about these games and longing for the day we’ll meet. I can see them flying through my bedroom window.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like a romance writer. Anyway, let’s get on with the list.
1. Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 2’s action and story blew my mind. I trust Bioware to finish the series on a high-note.
The conclusion to this space trilogy will eat up most of my time. I’ll want to get all the trophies and play at least twice through the game.
Unfortunately, I can’t play Mass Effect 3 with my save files from the previous games. That’s because my Xbox 360 broke. I refuse to spend more money to buy a new Xbox 360 and transfer files.
So I’m going to buy and replay Mass Effect 2 on PS3. That means it’s going to take a while before I touch the third game.
2. Halo 4
The reason I want this is simple: I want to know what happens to Master Chief. Where is he and what’s that planet he’s drifting toward in Halo 3?
I really liked the story telling in past Halo games, like ODST and Reach. I hope Halo 4 tells a good story and explores new themes, beyond war. I mean, you can only knock out an alien’s teeth with your rifle so many times before you fall asleep.
Since my Xbox 360 broke, I won’t bother buying this game. I’ll just play it at a friend’s house.
3. Bungie’s Next Game
Bungie makes great games. That’s why I’m excited for their next offering. It doesn’t bother me that they haven’t said a word about it yet.
I’m also excited to see what they’ll do with their independence. Let’s hope they take some risks and do something different.
4. Sly 4
I just played through the Sly Cooper Collection and loved it. I’m learning to appreciate these old games despite their flaws.
There’s room for more Sly games, especially good ones.
5. Crysis 1 for consoles
This game melts some older computers like cheese in the microwave. Nah, I’m kidding about that.
Can Crytek make a great looking and fun console version? Sounds silly but I really want to play the game to answer that question. I’m dying to get my grubby little hands on this gem.
What games do you want to play?
